These procedures will have designators such as a Y or Z in the approach title. For example, RNAV (GPS) Z Rwy 22. However, not all avionics equipment is able to accept these procedures. If your avionics equipment cannot handle a Multiple Approach Indicator, it will contain one of the procedures without the indicator. For example, RNAV 22. In most cases the first procedure (A or 1) will be contained in your database when A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 indicators are used. When the X, Y, Z indicators are used, the last procedure (Z) will normally be contained in your database. Yet, in other cases when an RNAV RNP (AR), RNAV (GPS) with ‘LPV only’ or ‘LP only’ minimums, or a HI-TACAN approach is designated with a Z indicator, we will include the Y or X, etc. procedure in your database. Additionally, anytime there are Multiple Approach Indicator Procedures and one of those procedures does not have an indicator present, the procedure without the indicator will be the one included in your database. For example, RNAV (GPS) Z Rwy 22, RNAV (GPS) Y Rwy 22, and RNAV (GPS) Rwy 22 then RNAV (GPS) Rwy 22 will be included in your database as RNAV 22. As a result, the FMS considers the GPIP altitude to be invalid. This can lead to the following issues: 1. GPI Altitude may not be displayed in the ACTV menu. 2. Vertical guidance after FAF may not be consistent with what’s found on the approach plate. 3. VNAV may be downgraded to barometric (VNV-B). DO NOT USE THESE RNAV PROCEDURES IN CYCLE 2310 OR ANY LATER CYCLES UNTIL THE ISSUES ARE FULLY RESOLVED. As a result, the FMS considers the GPIP altitude to be invalid. This can lead to the following issues: 1. GPI Altitude may not be displayed in the ACTV menu. 2. Vertical guidance after FAF may not be consistent with what’s found on the approach plate. 3. VNAV may be downgraded to barometric (VNV-B). DO NOT USE THESE RNAV PROCEDURES IN CYCLE 2310 OR ANY LATER CYCLES UNTIL THE ISSUES ARE FULLY RESOLVED. This Identifier naming convention was applied to Half Degree Grid Waypoints within Gander, Shanwick and Reykjavik Oceanic Control Areas (OCAs). In accordance with NAT OPS BULLETIN, dated 23 February 2021, serial number 2018_003 and NAT OPS Document NAT Doc 007 which defines the airspace boundaries within the NAT High Level Airspace (NAT HLA), Jeppesen will implement the “Hxxyy” Identifier Naming Convention within the remaining regions of the NAT HLA, including Bodo, Santa Maria and New York Oceanic East Oceanic Control Areas (OCAs).
