Easy database updates

We offer multiple avionics database update capabilities to make it easy for aircraft owners and operators to track their Jeppesen data services as well as keep their aircraft up to date with the most currently available avionics data. Operators can choose which option is best for them based on their operational needs, equipment and preferences. Visit links below for instructions to enable database updates, including how to install necessary software, configure account settings and purchase accessories.

Many Jeppesen avionics chart subscriptions include access to view the same chart information on popular mobile apps, including ForeFlight Mobile, Garmin Pilot, Avidyne IFD100 and more.

Some avionics equipment require additional hardware, including specific data cards to perform data updates.

  • Jeppesen Skybound required for Garmin GNS 400/500 Series, GNS 400/500 WAAS Series, GPS 150/150XL, GNC 250/250XL, GPS 155/155XL, GPS 165, GNC 300/300XL
  • Garmin 3 MB data card is required for Garmin GPS 150/150XL, GNC 250/250XL, GPS 155/155XL, GPS 165, GNC 300/300XL
  • Garmin 8 MB data card is required for Garmin GNS 400/500 Series
  • Garmin 16 MB data card is required for Garmin GNS 400/500 WAAS Series

  1. Download your avionics database(s) to your mobile device anywhere you have internet or cellular access
  2. Connect your mobile device to the Wombat Wi-Fi network, insert your data card or other media
  3. Use JDM Mobile to transfer the updates and go fly
