(VHHH) Hong Kong, PR of China — Construction Work and Flight Check of RWY 07C/25C

The AIP SUP 05/24 (dated 22 JUL 24) provided updated information for Hong Kong, Hong Kong INTL (VHHH) airport about “Works Progress and Flight Check of Centre RWY 07C/25C Under Reconfiguration”.

This information will be depicted on new 10-8B temporary chart (dated 2 AUG 24). This alert is published for situational awareness, because some work will already start at 31 JUL 24 while flight checks will be conducted between 4 AUG 24 and 11 SEP 24:
– The security fence separating the closed RWY 07C/25C and associated taxiways from the operational area will be replaced by marker boards. Pilots may have a clearer view of the non-operational areas still under construction.

Nevertheless, the enclosed area remains non-operational and the RWY 07C/25C and associated taxiways are still not open for aircraft operations.

Pilots shall closely follow ATC instructions and are reminded to be vigilant when crossing the RWY 07C/25C.
