All OEM customers are currently receiving this data, however, the way the data is captured, Jeppesen has received concerns from customers that per their Flight Management Systems they are unable to identify which weather service is the primary or alternate/remote weather service to contact at the location they are operating into. For those Airports where an alternate or remote weather reporting communication service exists, Jeppesen will code these communication services as Secondary. The applicable alternate or remote weather communication service types effected are ATIS, ASOS, AWOS, AUTO, AWIB and AWIS. This document serves as the contractually required advanced notification for implementation of the new coding rules and practices scheduled for implementation in AIRAC cycle 2013, effective date 3 December 2020.
