Half Degree Grid Waypoints (Identifier update)

In accordance with NAT OPS BULLETIN, dated 1 June 2015, serial number 2015_003, Jeppesen has been providing Half Degree Grid Waypoints within the North Atlantic Region using the Identifier Naming Convention provided in section 5.3 of the bulletin, which states “Hxxyy, where xx = degrees and 30 minutes of NORTH latitude and yy = degrees of WEST longitude (e.g., H5250 = 52°30’ NORTH 050°00’ WEST)”. This Identifier naming convention was applied to Half Degree Grid Waypoints within Gander, Shanwick and Reykjavik Oceanic Control Areas (OCAs).

In accordance with NAT OPS BULLETIN, dated 23 February 2021, serial number 2018_003 and NAT OPS Document NAT Doc 007 which defines the airspace boundaries within the NAT High Level Airspace (NAT HLA), Jeppesen will implement the “Hxxyy” Identifier Naming Convention within the remaining regions of the NAT HLA, including Bodo, Santa Maria and New York Oceanic East Oceanic Control Areas (OCAs).
