Jeppesen Trip Kit

Immediate backup service to all necessary navigational charts

Trip Kit gives pilots immediate access to charts through a web-based, always-on solution that’s accessible from any connected device. Within minutes, pilots can access all sufficient content needed to taxi and fly any IFR flight.

Trip Kit content includes tailored data, terminal charts, and enroute strip charts for the entire route of flight with the actual route displayed. Additionally, ball notes are included along the route and in the direction of flight indicating an operational or regional note specific to that route (similar to FliteDeck Pro). Trip Kit includes:

Trip Kit as a Service

Trip Kit as a Service is an optional API capability provided by Jeppesen which allows customers to automate the generation of Trip Kit PDFs for all flights within their existing systems. With this tool, pilots no longer need to manually enter a route at the gate during stressful situations.

This capability allows users to have all backup data available and on hand for every flight when created as part of standard procedures. This API can be invoked by airline services, such as internal mobile or web applications, ensuring an offline copy of all charts needed for a flight plan are always available to the flight crew in the event of a navigational app or app data issue.

In this way, Trip Kit as a Service is akin to a seat belt, always available even though it’s not always required.

This API is a system-to-system service that can be called by another system or service using customer configured parameters to generate a Trip Kit PDF, store it, and pass the location back to the calling system service or application. Information on integration, expected calls and response types is provided in an API Development Guide.
