Business Aviation: Planning for the end of Jeppesen paper chart services

The global transition to paperless chart operations within the aviation industry continues to evolve rapidly, fueled by growing costs of managing paper and the immense benefits of digitally-powered operations. The majority of flights around the world utilize Jeppesen digital charts instead of traditional paper charts.

As part of the digital evolution in aviation, we are planning to phase-out Jeppesen chart printing services, with services ceasing by 31 October 2026.

We strongly encourage any customers still using paper charts, to begin exploring the “pathway to paperless” now. Subject matter experts here at Jeppesen can support you in your journey. Please let us know if you would like additional guidance on the transition or want to learn more about the process itself.

Options for maintaining paper charts

Should your specific use case require paper charts, or you simply wish to carry paper charts as a backup, several applications enable the printing of just the charts you need. ForeFlight Mobile, for example, enables printing or exporting airport diagrams and approach plates individually or in bulk. Please check the application of your choice for further information.

If you want to use the same special 7-hole punched Jeppesen paper for your self-printed charts, this is available as “JeppView printer paper” on shop.jeppesen.com.
