We can help with Emissions Reporter! What is CORSIA? CORSIA is a market-based measure to track and offset carbon emissions on a global scale, with a goal of carbon neutral growth from 2020. This initiative will be implemented in a phased approached. Emissions monitoring, reporting and verification is mandatory for all operators meeting the eligibility criteria. Who does this affect? Due to the global nature of CORSIA, it is highly likely that if you operate internationally, you will be affected by CORSIA. If you meet the criteria below, you likely qualify. 5700 kg Maximum Takeoff Weight 10,000 Tonnes of CO2 emitted annually on international routes 100% Will have to begin reporting emissions Jan 1, 2019 Check to see if you qualify When is this effective? CORSIA is effective now. CORSIA includes three implementation phases: the pilot phase (2021-2023), a first phase (2024-2026) and a second phase (2027-2035). The pilot phase and first phase are voluntary. During the pilot phase and first phase, offsetting requirements will only be applicable to flights between States that have volunteered to participate. Check if you are required to comply with CORSIA Offsetting Requirements: You need to comply with CORSIA offsetting requirements only for flights between two participating countries. If you are flying in or out of an EU/ECC country you will also need to comply with EU-ETS requirements. However monitoring and reporting requirements apply to all international flights for any operator who exceeds the 10,000 t CO2 annual threshold. Learn more
